What Must We Be Saved From?
The Philippian jailer asked Paul and Silas, "What must I do to be saved?" (Acts 16:30). Their answer was clear: "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household" (Acts 16:31). The Gospel is simple, but many stumble over it because it challenges our desire to earn salvation. Instead, it is Good News—Jesus has done it all. To be saved, we must look to Jesus and believe in His finished work. He is the perfect, sinless Son of God who died on the cross as a substitute for our sins, absorbing God's wrath on our behalf. His sacrifice, foretold in the Old Testament, provides eternal life to all who believe in Him.
What Must We Be Saved From?

We need salvation from the wrath of God, which is revealed against sin and unrighteousness (Romans 1:18). Those who do not believe in Jesus face God's wrath (John 3:36). Jesus delivers believers from the wrath to come (1 Thessalonians 1:10). - The Consequences of Sin
- Death: Sin brings death, as stated in Genesis 2:17 and Romans 5:12, 21. The wages of sin is death, but eternal life is offered through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23).
- Condemnation: Those who reject Jesus are already condemned (John 3:17-20). Through one man’s sin came condemnation, but through Jesus’ righteousness comes justification (Romans 5:16, 18).
Salvation involves being rescued from God's judgment, the consequences of sin, and the eternal separation from God. Through belief in Jesus Christ, we receive forgiveness and eternal life.
